Reasons For Extractions
Here are some of the most common reasons:
Teeth with loss of bone support due to gum disease
Extra teeth that are interfering with adult teeth
Preparing for orthodontic treatment, such as Invisalign
Removing a fractured, diseased or malformed tooth
Teeth damaged beyond repair that cannot be fixed with a root canal
Tooth infections that are non-responsive to other treatments
What To Expect
The dentist will obtain and review x-rays to help plan the procedure.
Next, you will be given a local anesthetic to block any pain.
After confirming successful anesthesia, the dentist will extract the tooth by loosening it from the gum and bone tissue by rocking it back and forth. Gauze will be placed over the empty socket to control bleeding. The team will provide you with post-operative instructions to follow at home during the healing process.
We follow the Alberta Fee Guide recommendations for all of our procedures.
Your exact price will depend on the complexity of your case. We provide no-obligation estimates.
